Authorship Guidelines

JEDM uses the authorship criteria of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

Authors assert they have:

  1. Made substantial contributions to the conception of the work, design of the study, or analysis and interpretation of the data
  2. Been involved in the writing of the manuscript to be submitted
  3. Approved the final submitted version and take responsibility for the integrity of its content

Only those who meet these three criteria should be listed as authors. Contributors who meet some but not all criteria should be listed in the acknowledgments section. It is the responsibility of all listed authors to ensure authorship meets JEDM guidelines.
